Memorial Union History
The Memorial Union was dedicated on June 1, 1929, as a living memorial to "the service and inspiration of the living and the memory of our immortal dead," as a way to honor OSU faculty and students who took part in World War I. Read more about the MU's history.
Student Experience Center
In order to address the needs of an ever-growing student body, the Memorial Union expanded to create an additional student hub, the Student Experience Center. Read more about the building's recent history, the programs housed within it, and its Gold-standard sustainability features.
MU Rotunda Project
The OSU community strives for accessible design, to accommodate our students and staff with disabilities. What persons without disabilities view as conveniences, may present serious barriers for people who have disabilities. Hence the MU Rotunda Project: An ongoing project aimed at making the front of the beautiful Memorial Union an accessible place for all.
