Here's what's happening this year:

There is no general registration or sign-up for Moms Weekend.  Moms and family of any kind are invited to join their students in participating in any events or activities they may enjoy.  Prices and ticketing info are included below for each event.  Items in orange italics are MUPC events, so please contact us at 541-737-6872 for details, or contact Trisha Kooba at trisha.kooba@oregonstate.edu or Mackenzie Hoy at mackenzie.hoy@oregonstate.edu.  Contact Sarah Lowe at sarah.lowe@oregonstate.edu for questions regarding the Art Festival.

Friday, May 3rd

6am-11pm: Dixon Recreation Center and McAlexander Fieldhouse: Family members get in FREE when accompanied by student with valid OSU ID card. http://oregonstate.edu/recsports

8am-5pm: Attend Class with Students

8am-5pm: Valley Library: Self-Guided Tours - Maps available on all floors of the library

10am-3pm: Lonesome Pottery Sale: Memorial Union Trysting Tree Lounge; Handmade Pottery & Glass for Sale at Bargain Prices, Sponsored by the OSU Craft Center

 12pm-5pm: HSRC Community Bake Sale: MU Quad

3pm-5pm: MUPC Welcome Table: MU Concourse - Schedules, T-Shirts ($12), Wine Glasses ($6), Tumblers ($6), Pins($8) & Charms ($2) (Merch will be available for sale in MU 103 beginning April 29, 2013).

3pm: Joyce Collin Furman Hall, OSU campus, 200 S.W. 15th St.: An award-winning documentary on journalist Damian Trujillo will be shown at various locations in Corvallis on Thursday, May 2, and Friday, May 3, and followed by a question and answer session with the director. College of Education.

5:35pm: Baseball game against UC Berkeley, Goss Stadium. Tickets available for purchase through OSU Athletics http://beavertickets.com/single-games/baseball/  or at 1-800-GO-BEAVS

6pm (MU 206), 7:30pm (MU 208), 9:00pm (MU 206): Student Events & Activities will present a special MU-VIE. #beBEAVERBOLD hang out with your mom and experience Les Miserables - starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, and Anne Hathaway.  The world's longest running musical brings its power to the big screen in Tom Hooper's sweeping and spectacular interpretation of Victor Hugo's epic tale.  This event is free.

7-8:30pm: Paint your own premade pottery Workshop: Pre-registration strongly recommended.  $15/person materials included.  More information at the Craft Center or on their website at http://mu.oregonstate.edu/craftcenter/

7:00 pm: Sing 2013: Dancing Through the Decades: The 77th annual production of Sing: an exciting choreography competition and musical showcase performed by the students of Oregon State University and open to everyone!
Doors open at 6:00pm, show starts at 7:00pm in Gill Coliseum, Tickets are $25, available through Fraternities and Sororities, or at the door. For questions, email Allison Boyce at boycea@onid.orst.edu

Saturday, May 4th

9am-12pm: Moms Weekend Challenge Course: $15 for OSU Students and Family Members. Sign-up at the Adventure Leadership Institute in Dixon, 541-737-4254.

 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm: Pistol Club Fundraiser Shoot at the OSU Indoor Target Range (SE corner of McAlexander Fieldhouse), $5 for OSU Students and $10 for OSU Community, Family Members, and General Public. Space is limited; for pre-registration and full event details visit http://osupistol.org

9am: Tree & Shrub Walk; Meet at the north/front entrance of the MU for a tour of the beautiful nature on OSU's campus.

9am-12pm: OSU Radiation Center Tours; every 15 minutes, tours last 45 minutes; Nuclear reactors and four different experimental facilities; 3451 SW Jefferson Ave.

9am: OSU CVM Pet Day 5k Fun Run/Walk; $15 pre registration (By April 19) and $17 registration (4/19-5/2).  Day-of registration available from 7:30-8:45 am. Open to the public and their pets (please bring pets on a leash or lead). https://secure.getmeregistered.com/get_information.php?event_id=7799

9am-10am: Brunch sponsored by the University Honors College and the University Scholars Program, LaSells Stewart Center (Free & open to the public)

10am-11:30am: Talent Show sponsored by the University Honors College and the University Schools Program, LaSells Stewart Center (Free & open to the public)

10am-3pm: Mom and I Photos: MU 109 - Professional Photographer, 1 for $10 or 2 for $18; Tickets available at the door on a first come, first serve basis.

10am-3pm: Upper Back Massages: MU 211 - $20 - Sign up in advance in MU 103 or call (541) 713-8368 beginning Monday, April 8, 2013.

10am-5pm: Moms Weekend Art Festival: Brick Mall & 26th Street - Come enjoy a wide variety of crafts and creations for sale. No entrance free, prices based on individual purchases from vendors.

10am: Zumba with Marianne and Amy: Women's Building 116. Come party yourself into shape with this latin-inspired dance workout class.  Entrance is free but capacity is limited to 40 participants so be sure to get there early!

10:30am-1:30pm: Wave Lab Open House: Tours every 5 minutes, lasting 20 minutes.  First come, first serve basis.  This will highlight the on-going tsunami and coastal engineering work in the laboratory and will include an wave demonstration.  

11am-2pm: SCREEN will have a health fair to talk with students and their moms about breast and cervical health and screening recommendations.  Grab your "passport" to health, and participate in all of our fun activities to be entered into a raffle for a grand prize.  MU 110, event is free.

10am-4pm: Pet Day: OSU College of Veterinary Medicine, OSU Magruder Hall (30th & Washington).  Enjoy pet costume contest, dog frisbee contest, cat photo contest, cow pie toss plus a petting zoo, agility dogs, reptiles, teddy bear surgery, tours, llamas, and face painting.  Some events at Pet Day have small fees.

11am: 5k Fun Run & Walk at Avery Park - Free for students, Moms & RecSports members. Sign up at the Sports & Special Programs office in Dixon. http://oregonstate.edu/recsports/intramural-sports

11am-12pm: Sarah Deanna: MU 109 - Sarah got her start at the Moms Weekend Fashion Show and is now a supermodel.  Come enjoy a presentation and book signing!  Books will be available for purchase.

11am-1pm: Pottery Workshop - Come try your hand on the potter's wheel, limited spaces.  Pre-registration strongly recommended.  $15/person, materials included.  More information at the Craft Center on their website at http://mu.oregonstate.edu/craftcenter/

11am-2pm: Print your own commemorative t-shirt or bag at the OSU Craft Center (Snell Hall); 1st come, 1st serve, open event as supplies last.  $10 per shirt.

12pm-4:30pm: Wine Garden provided by Oregon Beverage Company. MU Quad - Free Entrance, Price based on consumption.

12pm-1pm: Zumba Party: Dixon Recreation Center Lower Gym - Free for OSU Community and Family Membershttp://oregonstate.edu/recsports

12pm-2pm: Tea Tasting and Jewelry Making with the Asian Pacific Cultural Center. MU Lounge. Free for OSU Community and Family Members.

12pm-2pm: Recycled Jewelry Workshop - Use recycled materials to create a piece of wearable art (Possible projects include pendants and earrings).  Pre-registration strongly recommended.  $15/person materials included.  More information at the Craft Center or on their website at http://mu.oregonstate.edu/craftcenter/

1pm, 3pm: Moms Weekend Fashion Show -MU Ballroom. Tickets are $15 - Purchase ahead of time on our website. Purchase Tickets Here

5:30pm-9pm: Wine Bar by Oregon Beverage Company. La Sells Stewart Center. Enjoy a glass of wine and light reception food before the comedy show.

6pm, 9pm: Moms Weekend Comedy Show - LaSells Stewart Center. Tickets are $38 for floor seats and $34 for balcony seats - Available online 6 weeks prior to event. Light refreshments and beverages available for purchase. Purchase Tickets Here

 

Sunday, May 5th

8 am registration, 9am start: Give us 5 Fun Run/Walk; Martin Luther King Jr. - Walnut Park (4905 NW Walnut Blvd).  Proceeds will help start a Cancer Survivorship Program for ALL cancers.  Bring Mom to a fun event including DJ Richie Harrington (OSU QB), Coffee Culture drinks, Great Harvest Bread, Raffle prizes, and more.  Register @ getmeregistered.com/giveus5 or day of event.

8am-2pm: Corvallis Fire Department Breakfast:  All proceeds go to the Mario Pastega House in Corvallis, a place for out-of-area patients and families for specialized medical care.  $6 for adults, $5 for OSU Students, $3 for kids under 12.

12pm-4pm: ISOSU host the 13th Annual Spring Festival themed "International Vibes", a four hour extravaganza of music, dance, culture, and food.  All are welcome to join in this celebration: MU Quad.  

12pm-4pm: OSU Global Engagement Fair - stroll through the MU Brick Mall to learn about OSU's global impact - including research, service and education presented at information tables, interactive booths and through story sharing.  Hosted by Student Events and Activities - MU Brick Mall.  This event is free.
